The Ohio State Buckeyes’ win over the Michigan Wolverines sees some familiar move around in our College Football Playoff and New Year’s Six Projections!
What would college football be without drama? Heading into championship week there is only one clear thing and that’s nothing, except Notre Dame, is clear at all. While some teams look to be locks for New Year’s Six Bowl Games, others have to get a little help to earn a spot in one of those bowls.
So let’s skip all the hoopla and get right to it. Here is what is in play this Saturday:
- Ohio State looks to finish the season strong with a Big 10 title but will need some added help to get into the playoff.
- Oklahoma looks for revenge against Texas, as a win should put them into playoff.
- Georgia eyes a monumental upset win over Alabama that would put two SEC teams in the College Football Playoff
- No matter the margin of victory, Clemson needs to just win to get into the playoff.
Almost every conference has a shot at getting into the College Football Playoff, but with one spot already taken by Notre Dame, will we see three conferences fill out the remaining spots? Or will the SEC take up two spots, leaving just one spot available for the rest of the crowd.
But before the games are played, take a look at our projections for the New Year’s Six Bowl Games:
