The Tigers won their fourth straight ACC title in a blowout of Pittsburgh. Clemson football will book its passage to the College Football Playoff with the victory.

Leading up to the 2018 ACC championship game, ACC Atlantic winner Clemson arrived in Charlotte as a four-touchdown favorite over Coastal Division champs Pittsburgh. The Tigers cruised to their fourth consecutive conference title on Saturday in prime time, taking a 28-10 lead into the locker room at halftime and closing out the contest in a 42-10 walkover.

The win seals up one of just four undefeated seasons among the 130 FBS schools. They look like they will likely square off against Notre Dame in the semifinals of the College Football Playoff after continuing to dominate the ACC. Winning the league with their third different starter at quarterback over the stretch, the Tigers leaned on a veteran defense to book their passage to one of the semifinal destinations.

Pittsburgh, meanwhile, acquitted themselves well in a contest they were never expected to reach at the beginning of the season. They will head to the bowl season as a respectable opponent for whoever they match up against, though Clemson exposed some deficiencies that can be exploited by the right team.

What else did we learn about these two ACC sides in the Saturday-night blowout in Charlotte? Here are three takeaways from the ACC championship game victory by Dabo Swinney’s Tigers over Pat Narduzzi’s Panthers.
