42. . EDGE. Ohio State Buckeyes. Nick Bosa. 1. player

Besides DeForest Buckner, the 49ers pass rush hasn’t done much this season. He leads the team with seven sacks, but the next highest players are sitting at the top with three and a half each.

Would the 49ers be in the number one spot in Jimmy Garoppolo were healthy? Probably not but the game isn’t played on what if’s and the team has had trouble with consistent play on both sides of the ball.

San Francisco sits in the middle of the pack with 247 passing yards allowed per game. Nick Bosa would be able to help not only on their pass rush but the secondary as well by forcing the quarterback to get rid of the ball sooner than they would like.

Although Bosa’s career ended prematurely he is still the best player in the draft and racked up 17 sacks in 29 games for the Buckeyes. If San Francisco decides not to go with Bosa then look for Houston stand out Ed Oliver to be the pick.
