After losing the Apple Cup to the Huskies two weeks ago, the Cougars had to sit at home as Washington won a slugfest against Utah 10-3. Washington State will face the Cyclones in the Valero Alamo Bowl.

Minshew will have a chance to boast impressive numbers against a Cyclone defense that doesn’t have the depth to stick with the Cougars spread offense.

The Washington State receiving core boasts four receivers with at least 45 catches and 500 receiving yards, so distributing the ball evenly is second nature to this offense.

He has thrown for 4,477 yards with 36 touchdowns and nine interceptions. It will be a stretch to expect Minshew to finish the season with over 5,000 yards passing, but it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility to see him throw for 400 yards and four scores against Iowa State.

Minshew enjoyed a great season leading the Huskies to a 10-2 record, and he could be a Day 2 draft pick.
