1. Herm Edwards’ first bowl game

Who doesn’t love Herm Edwards these days? Arizona State fans have to be thankful he kept the ship afloat in his first season with the Sun Devils, leading them to a 7-5 record and an improbable second-place finish in the Pac-12 South.

In his first collegiate postseason game, he gets a talented Fresno State team looking to pull out a win over a Power Five opponent and finish the year with 11 victories.

You know Edwards plays to win the game, though, right?

We’ll see if the former NFL head coach will pull out all the stops to finish with a victory over the Bulldogs and what kind of reaction his players will have if the Sun Devils do improve to 8-5. Will we see an Edwards Gatorade bath? That would be something.

Either way, this is history as Edwards, in his first season as a collegiate head coach, will be playing in his first bowl game. That’s reason enough to tune in.
