Five Star offensive lineman Clay Webb is set to announce his college destination on December 10, and is down to four finalists. Here’s why he’ll choose Alabama Football.
With a break in games prior to bowl season (with due respect to Army-Navy), coaches are hitting the recruiting trail hard in hopes of making some big splashes for the early signing day and dead period kicks in.
The early signing period ends on December 19, and several top recruits are scheduled to sign on the dotted line so they can enroll early and get a jump on practicing in hopes of making an early splash as freshmen in 2019.
Alabama currently sits at a familiar spot at the top of the 247Sports composite rankings. After a down year (for Alabama’s standards) in the 2018 cycle, Nick Saban has hit the ground running to get the Crimson Tide back to its perch at the top of the recruiting rankings.

Webb is slated to announce his intentions on Monday at 10 a.m. CT, and is down to four finalists: Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, and Georgia, with the majority of experts viewing it as a two-horse race between the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs.
The Crystal Ball points toward Alabama, but it wouldn’t be too big of a surprise to see him choose any one of the finalists.
Smart money is on the Crimson Tide, though, and here’s why:
