With only one FBS game, it’s an FCS special this week as the binge-watch guide looks toward the best college football postseason format.

The regular season is behind us. Well, save for Army-Navy on Saturday, of course. Even with that, the bowl games are set, and the vast majority of FBS football is done for the season. However, FBS isn’t the only division giving us great football. That’s why this week, we’ve got a special binge-watch guide. We’ll call it the FCS playoff edition.

For those who don’t know, the FCS runs a 24 team playoff at the end of the year, complete with conference title tie-ins, bye weeks for the best teams, and home-field advantage. It’s awesome. It’s so much fun to watch and it really makes you wonder why FBS hasn’t caught on yet and done something similar. It’s so simple and so successful. It gives every team that deserves a title shot the opportunity to play for it, and it creates some great games. We’ve got four great quarterfinal games this weekend.

Before we talk about them, we’ll look back to last week’s picks real quick. I was a perfect eight of eight last week, which brings my yearly final average to 76 percent. Seeing as my early season goal for the final average was 50 percent, I’m delighted with how well this went all year. It’s been a joy planning out the college football weekend all season long, and I’m glad to do it one last time. Let’s do it.
