More than a game

The Army-Navy Game represents more than just an annual football game that is played on every second Saturday in December. This game exemplifies what college football is all about and also what it means to be an American.

None of the players on the field have the intention of playing in the NFL. They are not playing for themselves and their football future, but rather they play solely for the team on the front of their jersey.

Additionally, these players demonstrate the highest levels of sacrifice and service for something much greater than themselves. After graduation, each Midshipmen or Cadet will commission as a Second Lieutenant or Ensign in either the Army, Marine Corps, or Navy. As a 17-year old, they decided to play Division 1 College Football at a university that would eventually lead them to putting their life on the line for their country, rather than playing professional football.
