Honorable Mentions
Liberty Bowl
Matchup: Missouri vs. Oklahoma State
Date/Time: Dec. 31, 2018, at 3:45 p.m. ET
Coming in as our first honorable mention, the matchup between Missouri and Oklahoma State will be one of the more entertaining matchups of the bowl season. Tiger quarterback Drew Lock is looking to make his case as the top quarterback prospect in the 2019 NFL Draft against the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The showdown of high-powered offenses has opened up with a 72.5-point over/under betting line as Oklahoma State’s 12th-ranked passing offense led by Taylor Cornelius and Tylan Wallace takes on the 27th-ranked passing offense of Missouri in Memphis, Tenn.

New Era Pinstripe Bowl
Matchup: Wisconsin vs. Miami
Date/Time: Dec. 27, 2018, at 5:15 p.m. ET
For the second consecutive season, we will get to see the Wisconsin Badgers take on the Miami Hurricanes. This year’s matchup goes down in New York as the two teams that couldn’t quite meet expectations this season meet up once again looking for some momentum going into the offseason.
Miami’s defensive front looked as strong as ever against Pitt’s rushing attack two weeks ago and they are going to need to be in tip-top shape against Doak Walker Award Finalist Jonathan Taylor who is coming off of his second straight 1,900-plus yard season and if he can get 11 yards against Miami, he’ll top 2,000.
Arizona Bowl
Matchup: Nevada vs. Arkansas State
Date/Time: Dec. 29, 2018, at 1:15 p.m. ET
To the Power Five only eye, this game wouldn’t look like the most interesting of games but I’m here to tell you why that is absolutely wrong. The matchup between the Nevada Wolfpack and the Arkansas State Red Wolves features two 3,000 yard passers with 20-plus passing touchdowns on the season.
The over/under opens up at 60 points and the spread is a straight pick ’em between the two Group of Five opponents and it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if this game went for close to 80 points given the offensive firepower combined with the middle-of-the-pack defenses. If you’re looking for a premiere Group of Five matchup with non-stop action, look no further than Tucson, Ariz.
