1. How does Georgia compare to the dynasty of Alabama?
We all know how talented the Crimson Tide is. We all see the absolute dynasty that Nick Saban and company have created at Alabama. No one is questioning how good Alabama has been, but my question is how much longer will they be that good?
Nick Saban isn’t getting any younger and football is quite the stressful game year in and year out- especially in the SEC. Saban is 67 years old. That is not young and sooner rather than later Saban will be on his way out. Don’t tell that to an Alabama fan though, they may lose it.
On the other side, Georgia is lead by Kirby Smart. He is 42 years old and learned everything that he knows in terms of head coaching from Nick Saban when he was the defensive coordinator of the Crimson Tide from 2008 to 2015. Then, after taking over the Georgia program, Smart has very quickly put together quite the team down in Athens.
Can Georgia compare to the dynasty that is Alabama? The last two years, playing in the National Title game and then the SEC Championship game, the Bulldogs have given Alabama a run for their money. In my opinion, a player like Clay Webb has to think about the future of these programs.
Could Georgia outrun Alabama in the years to come? I think so and Clay Webb has the ability to be a big part of that push.
