Clemson. Dexter Lawrence. 27. player. 13. . DT

Depending on the Los Angeles Chargers’ comfort level with Hunter Henry’s recovery with his torn ACL, they may decide to actually go after a tight end, even in the first round. However, it appears that Henry is recovering normally from the injury and will be ready to go by the start of next season.

Therefore, the Charges will likely turn to the third member of Clemson’s beastly defensive line, defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence. Although Lawrence’s numbers are not as impressive and his partners on the line, it is primarily due to him attracting tons of attention up the middle. At 6-foot-4 and 340 pounds, he is a handful for any offensive line.

The Chargers’ defensive line is quickly aging and Lawrence will provide some fresh legs to the defense. Furthermore, as the LA Chargers start to get better and find themselves in playoff games, they will want to have players who have experience playing in championship situations. Lawrence has plenty of experience in his three years with Clemson playing in big games.
