player. 31. . QB. Missouri. Drew Lock. 5

Whichever pick the New York Giants end up having in this year’s NFL Draft, they will likely be the first team to take a quarterback. Now the question is, which quarterback will they take? Justin Herbert from Oregon, and Dwayne Haskins from Ohio State are great options. And if Kyler Murray decides to play football instead baseball, he will be an incredibly attractive option.

But at the end of the day, the Giants will likely go with Drew Lock, from Missouri, to become the heir to Eli Manning’s throne. In the 2017 season, Lock passed for 44 touchdowns, leading the FBS, while playing in the SEC. This year he has a much more modest, yet still impressive, 25 touchdowns. However, his passing completion percentage has improved and his interceptions have decreased from last year.

Lock’s four years of starting experience in the SEC, in addition to his continued improvement, will make him the lead candidate for the Giant’s first round pick.
