Florida State football is in desperate need for change following a 5-7 2018 campaign. Could five-star recruit Kayvon Thibodeaux be the answer?

First-year FSU head coach Willie Taggart struggled fielding a competitive squad in 2018, as he watched his Seminoles get outscored 388-263. They finished 5-7 on the year, which was the school’s first losing season since 1976 — Bobby Bowden’s first season as head coach. But, things are on the upswing.

Bowden turned the ‘Noles around in his second season, leading them to a 10-2 campaign and a win in the Tangerine Bowl, and Taggart should have similar aspirations. It all starts with one, though. One pass, one tackle, or in this case – one particular recruit.

Kayvon Thibodeaux is a 5-star prospect from Thousand Oaks, Calif. He’s one of the most sought-after recruits in the country, as 247Sports, Rivals and ESPN each have him ranked in the top 10.

The Seminoles already have a strong 2019 recruiting class — top 15 nationally and second-best in the ACC — but adding a player of Thibodeaux’s caliber would make them serious contenders in the ACC in 2019. Follow along for three reasons Thibodeaux should choose Florida State.
