1. Chance for early playing time

What kind of recruit doesn’t like early playing time? It’s never a guaranteed thing, but for some, it’s fairly obvious they’re fitting a serious need and early snaps are imminent.

Juwann Bushell-Beatty and Jon Runyan will each be graduating, leaving voids at the tackle positions, but a young star like Jalen Mayfield could rise up and snag a starting spot. James Hudson transferring, too, leaves room for a guy like Trevor Keegan to crack that regular rotation.

This could be a thin position group next season and Keegan will fill a need, especially since there won’t be much experience at the tackle spots.

You know Jim Harbaugh is telling Keegan that if he commits, he has a chance to crack that starting lineup as a true freshman and even if he doesn’t, there’s a decent chance he’ll avoid a redshirt season.

Michigan has one of the most improved lines in the nation and if it wants to return in 2019 as one of the top groups in the trenches, it’ll need to add a young star like Keegan who is ranked No. 163 in the nation, per 247Sports. He will choose between Michigan, Penn State and Georgia on Friday, but the Wolverines should like their chances.
