4. Oregon got the last official

I know what you’re probably thinking, Kayvon Thibodeaux last visited Florida officially, but the Gators didn’t make the final cut.

In fact, Thibodeaux took his final official to Florida on Dec. 7, but when he announced that he would be making his decision on Dec. 15, he listed Florida State, Oregon and Alabama as his three finalists. Before his trip to Gainesville, Thibodeaux made it out to Eugene on Oct. 13.

The Ducks have a distinct advantage, getting their last pitch in the mind of Thibodeaux and making it stick. Since that visit, the Ducks have seemed like the favorite to land the five-star from Thousand Oaks, Calif., but any team to get the last official visit has an advantage over the competition.

Think about it this way, when you take a visit, you always remember the last place you went and if they were all great trips, the final destination will most always be considered the best.

Oregon getting the last official is huge and even with Florida State and Alabama coaches paying him in-home visits, the Ducks hold a lead.
