1. Xavier Ubosi: A man among boys

Overall, Power Five teams seem to get the delegation of being simply “boys” in the “man’s world” that is college football.

Is that fair? Probably not — not at all.

If you don’t believe me, you should find some highlights of UAB wideout Xavier Ubosi. He has had quite the season, but his performance in the Boca Raton Bowl was one for the ages for sure.

He finished with seven receptions — three of which were touchdowns — for 227 yards. That doesn’t happen everyday y’all.

Simply put, no matter how good the NIU defense has been, they didn’t have anyone remotely ready to cover Ubosi and that showed from the first play of the game — a 70-yard touchdown grab from Johnston to Ubosi.

The senior wide out chose the absolute best time to have the game of his career — that much is for certain. For someone that will enter the draft this season, it is extremely important that he showed up and showed out — especially with so many seniors around the country sitting out their bowl game to prepare.

Simply put, Ubosi was the star of this one and it isn’t even close. The next best would be quarterback Tyler Johnston who was kind of necessary in order for Ubosi to do what he did — but still I would put Ubosi over anyone else for this one.
