Mark it down in the win column for Dan Mullen and the Gator coaching staff when they can swipe a top recruit out of Alabama. That is exactly what Florida did with defensive back Jaydon Hill, as the Huntsville native will make the move south to Gainesville.

Standing 6-foot and weighing in at 167 pounds, Hill earned strong grades and many stars by several publications. He was named to the Alabama all-state first team after picking off five passes with 26 breakups in 2017 as a junior. Before he could put together another all-state senior season, though, Hill suffered a knee injury that ended his year.

Hill, who also can return punts, could be a key in the special teams game for Florida early on as he continues to work his way back. He picked the Gators over Michigan, Mississippi State, Oklahoma and several other SEC programs.
