Texas A&M football inked the majority of “Gig Em Gang ’19” this week, signing a total of 23 players. Who will have an instant impact for the Aggies in 2019?
Jimbo Fisher and the Aggies got a bit stronger on Early Signing Day after 23 players put pen to paper. Each will help the program in their own way by the end of their time in Aggieland, but some will have a more instant impact than others.
Who will have that instant impact in 2019? Here are just a few that should do just that.
5. Kenyon Green, OL
This kid is one of the highest ranking offensive lineman to ever sign with Texas A&M and he couldn’t have come at a better time. Sitting at No. 2 in the nation at No. 1 in the state at his position, this is a big time pick up for Jim Turner and Jimbo Fisher. The tackle from Atascocita High School in Humble, Texas, has been a long time commit for the Aggies after he made his verbal commitment back in June.
At this point, Texas A&M is struggling in terms of their offensive line. Have they had some decent players? Sure, but Kenyon Green, well, he is different. He was named the Houston Touchdown Club Offensive Player of the Year as a senior. The Aggies beat out the likes of Alabama and LSU for this one, so that should tell you one thing — he is a special player.
Look for Green to start on the offensive line in 2019, no questions about it in my book.
