1. Eli Peters is raw, but has a bright future

Eli Peters took over at quarterback earlier in the season due to injuries to the previous starter and he never relinquished his job. He looked solid for a majority of the season and showed flashes of being a quality starter for the normally high-powered offense.

Jason Candle has a solid eye for talent, being a former quarterback himself, but the Rockets should feel good about the future, as long as Peters can realize his potential.

Once again, he showed flashes of brilliance, passing for 264 yards and three touchdowns but he completed just 22-of-37 passes. He missed some open receivers with over-throws, which has been an issue all year long as he has just a 54 percent completion rate on the season.

It’s clear that this kid can be a solid quarterback as he is elusive outside of the pocket and can throw on the run, but he needs a ton of work this offseason.

If Candle can get him to reach that potential, the Rockets could be MAC title favorites once again next season.
