Boise State didn’t finish the season the way it wanted to, falling to Fresno State in the Mountain West Championship Game. However, the defeat didn’t diminish the Broncos’ hopes of bookending a successful season on a positive note. They still have business to take care of against a Power 5 school in Boston College.

Boise State has been a consistent postseason contender. The Broncos have played in a bowl game each season since 2002 and are coming off a season that ended with a bowl win against Oregon in the Las Vegas Bowl.

Currently, the Broncos are ranked No. 25 in the nation, although they ranked as high as No. 17 during the season.

Boston College is hoping to buck the trend of a 7-6 season for the third consecutive year with a win in the bowl game. The Eagles are making their third straight bowl appearance.

Here are five bold predictions for the First Responder Bowl, which is set to take place on Dec. 26.
