4. Rypien shares the wealth

One big storyline that pervaded the Boise State football team this season is that Rypien is unselfish and resourceful in sharing the football.

The Broncos don’t just have one offensive option in the passing game. Rather, they have multiple targets with a decent amount of receptions.

Leading the pack is Sean Modster, a senior who owns a team-high in receptions (68) and receiving yards (978). He is also tied for the team lead in touchdown receptions with eight touchdown catches.

Not far behind Moster is another fellow senior, A.J. Richardson, who has 54 receptions for 825 yards and eight touchdowns this year.

While Rypien relies on Modster and Richardson as his two top targets, he also looks to sophomore CT Thomas, who has hauled in 41 catches for 535 yards and three touchdowns this year.

Rypien will be without one of his receivers, John Hightower, a junior college transfer in his first year at the school. He was ruled out of the bowl game after being deemed academically ineligible, according to Dave Southorn of the Idaho Statesman.

Regardless, Rypien will still have plenty of receivers at his disposal to try to pick apart the Boston College defense.

The passing attack has been a trustworthy source of offense for the Broncos, and with a variety of targets, Rypien should have no problems moving the chains against the Eagles.
