Notre Dame football starting quarterback Brandon Wimbush announced his intention to transfer on the eve of the College Football Playoff. Where does he fit?

Brandon Wimbush started 12 games in the 2017 season for Notre Dame. The redshirt senior continued as the starter this season but only lasted three games for the Irish. After a less than productive first few games, Coach Brian Kelly decided to give Ian Book at shot under center. With the exception of Book being injured for the Irish’s game against Florida State, Wimbush has found himself on the sideline for the majority of the season.

When Brandon Wimbush did get this opportunity to start against the Seminoles, his play was still subpar. He completed only 48 percent of his passes and tossed two interceptions. Still, Notre Dame is still undefeated with Wimbush under center in 2018… but, they are were undefeated with Book as well.

Upon the conclusion of the College Football Playoff, Wimbush has announced he will be transferring from Notre Dame as a graduate transfer. This means he will be eligible to play immediately next season.

Let’s take a look at the top five transfer locations for Brandon Wimbush in 2019.
