5. Brett Seither, TE

Brett Seither is a 6-foot-5, 228-pound tight end out of Clearwater Central Catholic in Florida.

Seither, a three-star prospect, would held to build depth at the tight end / h-back position room in Coral Gables. The Hurricanes currently have two busts in the room in Michael Irvin II and Brian Polendey, while high potential players in Brevin Jordan and Will Malory will be sophomores in 2019. Bringing in Seither with Tampa Jesuit’s Larry Hodges will help provide depth.

The Florida-native’s importance is also felt because Miami has had all four of their tight ends out for time with injuries. With the injury bug hitting the tight end room, and Mark Richt’s desire to have multiple tight ends on the field and in the game plan, Miami needs to bring in two per class.

The incoming freshman’s strengths are his range at 6-foot-5 and his ability to get up and find the football. He plays well in space and runs good routes for a big man.

Prediction: Signs with Maryland
