4. West Virginia will struggle to stop Eric Dungey on the ground

Not many quarterbacks in college football are as strong of runners as Eric Dungey. Moreover, the Syracuse senior quarterback is tougher than most players and he can take a hit and even run defenders over with the style of a running back.

In the first game of the year, Dungey rushed for 200 yards and a touchdown and against Wake Forest near the end of the year, he recorded his second 100-plus yard game, adding a touchdown in the process. Finally, in the last game of the season, he finished with a season-high three rushing scores against the Eagles of Boston College — it actually tied a season-best.

Dungey has recorded a career-high 732 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns this season and a major reason for the breakout is his health. He has been healthy for most of the season and that’s not something he’s used to.

Against West Virginia, he’ll have another big game and surpass the 100-yard rushing mark for the third time this season and he will even add two scores on the ground.
