Notre Dame football enters the Cotton Bowl as a significant underdog to Clemson, but the Irish have enough firepower to pull off the upset.

Notre Dame and Clemson are set up for a battle of the unbeatens in the 2018 Cotton Bowl live from AT&T Stadium in Dallas. I’m telling you right now this is a game you don’t want to take your eyes off of.

Can Notre Dame do it? Can they save us all from what could be yet another Alabama and Clemson face off? They can. Here’s why:

5. Ian Book

Everyone talks about Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence like he’s the second coming of Aaron Rogers or something like that. However, I am not going to sit here and go on and on about Lawrence and how good he has been since replacing Kelly Bryant who has since announced his decision to transfer to Missouri.

No one seems to be giving Book a chance. Has he been great all the time? No, of course not. However, he has been good enough to get his team to an undefeated record and the spot in the College Football Playoff. Where Brandon Wimbush struggled, Book rose the occasion. He’s given this offense a spark, one they’ll need against Clemson.
