4. Strength of schedule favors the Aggies, by quite a bit.

The Aggies played one of the tougher schedules in College Football this season, falling in at No. 4 in that respect as they ended up facing off against half of what is now the College Football Playoff in Alabama and Clemson, and an always stressful and dangerous SEC West- Arkansas notwithstanding of course. This was quite a season for Texas A&M and it only gets worse for them in 2019 when they’ll add Georgia to the mix as well.

For NC State, they sit at No. 58 in terms of strength of schedule. That is 54 spots lower. Why? Because the ACC simply can’t compare to the SEC. Is Clemson good? Sure, they’re great. However, what else does the ACC have to boast about? What other teams really are a benchmark of the big time strengths of college football? The answers are simple- they don’t and there aren’t any.

I am a firm believer that who you face off against on a weekly basis makes you a better football team by the end of the year. The Aggies finished 8-4 with the fourth hardest schedule in the nation. NC State finished 9-3 with a much easier schedule. That is one game different, one SEC West loss different.

Strength of schedule favors the Aggies and that will show on the field. They will be ready for whatever the Wolfpack has to throw at them because they have very likely seen it all before.
