UCF puts a 25-game winning streak on the line against LSU football. Here are five reasons why they will make it 26 in a row against the Tigers in the Fiesta Bowl.

Exactly 365 days after defeating Auburn in the Peach Bowl, UCF is back in a New Year’s Six bowl game. The Knights won the American Athletic Conference for the second straight season, putting together a perfect regular season and extending the nation’s longest winning streak to 25 games and counting. For the honor of finishing once again as the top Group of Five team, UCF will get the chance to take on another SEC West opponent.

UCF puts that streak on the line against an LSU side that, unlike Auburn last year, finished just third in the SEC West standings. A 74-72 loss in an overtime thriller at Texas A&M prevented the Tigers from finishing behind Alabama in the division, though the Tigers still got the opportunity to play in a New Year’s Six game this season.

The sportsbooks like LSU to win by at least a touchdown on New Year’s Day in Glendale. But there are plenty of reasons to think that UCF is going to do a number on the Bayou Bengals and send them back to Baton Rouge with their tail between their legs.

Why might this happen? Let’s look at five key reasons why the Knights are going to prevail and enter 2019 with a 26-game winning streak still alive.
