2. Jake Fromm and his offense are remarkably efficient

Texas has a good defense, don’t get me wrong. However, they have shown that when they run into a good passer and an efficient offense, things can get dicey for the Longhorns in a hurry. In the last nine games, Texas has allowed 19 touchdown passes with just five picks. That isn’t a statistic that the Longhorn faithful should be too proud of or excited about when they are gearing up to face off against Jake Fromm and his offense.

The Bulldogs average 13 yards per attempt. They connect on third downs. Fromm is effective on that front, helping the offense finish second in the SEC and 11th in the nation converting 48 percent of its chances. They make big pass plays down the field. It doesn’t help that Texas has been handing out third down conversions like candy, so Fromm and the Bulldogs should be able to set up their offense and get things going on Tuesday night.

Simply put, the Texas defense doesn’t have enough fire power or pressure to stop such an efficient Georgia offensive attack. Now that quarterback Justin Fields is heading elsewhere, Jake Fromm is no longer looking over his shoulder worrying about losing his job. Look for Fromm and his offense to have an explosive night.
