Ohio State football: 5 bold predictions for Rose Bowl clash vs. Washington
By Shelbie Warr
In a game that the world is excited for, Washington and Ohio State football are on a collision course in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day. Let’s get bold y’all.
This game has been called the “Grandaddy of them all” and for good reason. These two teams, No. 6 Ohio State and No. 9 Washington, both were vying for a spot in the Playoff once upon a time. Ohio State more so than Washington, who is a member of a Pac-12 conference that has been less than stellar this season.
No matter though, these two teams are sure to provide a show for the ages on New Year’s Day live from the Rose Bowl. On that note, let’s talk bold predictions, shall we?
5. The “last” game for Urban Meyer adds momentum for OSU
Urban Meyer, who has struggled with medical issues that I won’t get into in this post, will be coaching his final game at Ohio State on New Year’s Day at the Rose Bowl. The man is a coach for the ages and while it is not sure that this will be his last time coaching ever — and let’s be real it won’t be — that should have all of us excited.
Urban Meyer is 11-3 all time in bowl games. Simply put, his teams show up and show out year after year. Add on top of that being left out of the College Football Playoff after dismantling Michigan and winning the Big Ten title — this Ohio State team is full of momentum and ready to take on anything thrown their way.
