2. Turnovers nearly decided this game for the Cowboys.

Both teams turned the ball over and both teams had those turnovers lead to points. For Missouri, they intercepted Taylor Cornelius twice who does a heck of a job as the quarterback for Oklahoma State. He is one of the best players on the Cowboys’ team, without question. Yes, they have great receivers, but they are nothing without their quarterback putting his blood, sweat and tears into the team. Both of those interceptions lead to points for Missouri, 14 in total.

Missouri had one fumble in which the Cowboys were able to turn into seven points a few plays later. Otherwise, Drew Lock and company took care of the ball and took care of business in the Liberty Bowl. Like I said earlier, senior Drew Lock upped his draft stock in a big way in this one. Taking care of the ball and stepping up in a big-time game is a great sign for NFL scouts that are watching him right now.

Oklahoma State bailed themselves off, keeping Drew Lock out of the end zone in the final minute of the season, but they almost lost this game due to turnovers that led to points for the Tigers.
