3. A battle of which pass rush can be better

Both of these teams have great pass rush units. There is no one arguing that point, not by a long shot. Kentucky has been good at forcing fumbles and making life hard for opposing quarterbacks.

That is the exact reason they had the season they have had. They have competed, to a point, for an SEC East title. They beat Florida for the first time in three decades. For all intents and purposes, this has been a successful season. Can Kentucky’s pass rush get the best of Trace McSorley and company?

On the other side we have the Penn State pass rush that has been more than exciting this entire season. While they haven’t lead the conference in time of possession, they lead the entire nation in sacks with 43. The biggest excitement in that number? It isn’t one or two players that are getting in on it. Sixteen players have notched at least one sack for Penn State this season.

Now, the Kentucky offensive line has been pretty good. They haven’t allowed all that many big plays in the backfield. However, with how much Terry Wilson has struggled, a big play or two could be a big issue. This team isn’t going to do big things or make big plays under pressure.

This game will be simple, the better pass rush will easily win. That also means that the team who’s offensive line plays better will come out victorious. My money is on Penn State, but we will see for sure.
