Clemson football is set to face Alabama in the upcoming College Football Playoff National Championship Game. The Tigers are going to need big games from these five players.

Clemson put together an almost-complete effort in wiping out previously unbeaten Notre Dame in the semifinals of the College Football Playoff at the Cotton Bowl, as Trevor Lawrence had his coming out party, Travis Etienne broke free and the Tiger defense didn’t skip a beat despite the suspension of Dexter Lawrence.

This will mark the third time in four years that Dabo Swinney has led the Tigers to the championship game. In that first trip, Clemson came up short vs. Alabama. They returned the following year to dethrone the Crimson Tide before falling in the semifinals last year to Nick Saban’s squad.

It’s Alabama vs Clemson IV this time around. Alabama dispatched Oklahoma in the other semifinal game, setting up yet another grudge match between these two college football super powers.
