For the third time, Alabama football and Clemson will face off for the College Football Playoff National Championship. Here’s why the Tide repeat as champs.

Alabama and Clemson have met in the College Football Playoff one way or another the last three seasons, however, this will be the third meeting between the two in the national title game. Alabama won the first. Clemson won the second. Last season, Alabama won the semi-final over Clemson.

To say that these two teams are familiar with each other is an understatement and while many of us are just about over this repeat after repeat, we’ll all get at least one last round. Can the Alabama Crimson Tide cement their top team status and take down the Clemson Tigers? Once more, the Tide will roll. Here’s why:

5. Alabama’s depth is on another level

Most of those higher ranking teams have a first string that is very talented and a second string that is close, but not as good. By the time you get to the third and fourth string though, things seem to get a little bit thinner.

That isn’t true for Alabama. It seems that their third string is just as good as their first string. Nick Saban recruits at such a high level that every player that comes into the Alabama program is ready and willing to give their all when their number is called. Of course, having a top two class year in and year out helps that too, but my point still stands.
