Texas A&M football ended Jimbo Fisher’s first season on a high note with a bowl win over NC State. Here are the Aggies’ top 10 plays of 2018.

The Texas A&M football program has had quite the season. From an opening win against Northwestern State to a dominating victory over NC State, this team has improved leaps and bounds in Jimbo Fisher’s first year as head coach.

Miss out on any of the action? Worry not. Here are the top 10 moments of the season, including a bonus honorable mention and the most heartwarming moment of the year.

Most Heart-Warming Moment: Cullen Gillaspia‘s TD vs. NC State

At Texas A&M it’s tradition for one walk-on player to be chosen to wear No. 12 for the year. With how much that number means to the Aggies, see the 12th Man, it is a high honor. For the last few years, that player has been Cullen Gillaspia and he has embodied everything that being that 12th Man means and so much more.

Under Kevin Sumlin, Gillaspia was a linebacker. However, Jimbo Fisher moved him to fullback and it has been a big-time move for him. All season long, the fans asked for Fisher to let “Gilly” score a touchdown. Well on New Year’s Eve, that finally happened. It started with a “too many men” penalty so that Cullen literally was the 12th Man on the field and ended with the first 12th Man touchdown in the history of Texas A&M.

Now, if that doesn’t warm your heartstrings there may be something wrong with you. Next, we head to the honorable mention category staring punter Braden Mann.
