Texas A&M Football: Aggies’ Top 10 Moments of 2018
By Shelbie Warr
8. Jashuan Corbin’s 100-yard kick off return touchdown vs. Arkansas
The Aggies are looking for answers now as Trayveon Williams has declared for the 2019 NFL Draft. We will discuss him later, as no one is surprised about I am sure, but suffice it to say the shoes to be filled are quite big. Right now though, it would seem that freshman Jashuan Corbin will be just that man for this team in 2019.
There are, of course, other options, but it seems that Corbin is the guy for the upcoming season. Why? Well, this play is a big reason that many fans are excited about this guy’s quickness and ability to hit open holes as soon as they appear.
Nothing shows that more than Corbin hitting hole after hole to take the opening kick off against Arkansas 100 yards to the house. At that point, the fans were sure that this game was going to be a blow out with how much the Razorbacks had struggled and the fact that the Aggies two losses came to Clemson and Alabama.
Of course, that isn’t how it went down. However, this play was absolutely a big part of why the Ags were able to pull out a win. Corbin finished his freshman year with 319 rushing yards on 57 attempts and one touchdown. Look for 2019 to be even more productive for the guy who seems to be a shoe-in for the starting position.
