After dismantling Alabama in the national title game, Clemson football proved it deserves to be on a separate pedestal as the newest dynasty.

It was a historic night for the Clemson Tigers as they evened the championship rivalry between them and Alabama with their 44-16 thrashing of the Crimson Tide. It was an all-around domination of Alabama with the tone set immediately as Tua Tagovailoa threw a pick six on the Tide’s opening drive. From there on out, Trevor Lawrence turned the game into his own personal showcase, carving up the vaunted Alabama defense.

Many in the social media world could not believe the destruction of a Crimson Tide team that was once thought to be the best in program history. This obviously led to speculation that Alabama is on the decline, which is usually the case anytime Alabama loses like this on a national stage. However, it seemed to pick up more momentum than normal, and tweet from The Athletic’s Nicole Auerbach.

While it may be a little too preemptive to say such a thing, it does signify there are some cracks in the Alabama foundation, and those cracks are enough to see Clemson to become the new dynasty in college football. Here’s why the Tigers are the new bullies on the block.
