More than a dozen notable quarterbacks have put their names into the NCAA Transfer Portal so far this offseason. Can college football handle the repercussions?
It would seem that many of the quarterbacks across the nation have set one goal: finding a new home. For one reason or another, these signal callers are looking to transfer elsewhere. Some will have to sit a year, some are graduates eligible to play immediately while others still hope to apply for special eligibility of their own. However, they all have one thing in common. — their names have entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Here are some of the biggest quarterback names to know who are looking to transfer this offseason.
10. Kelly Bryant, Clemson to Missouri
We start with a graduate transfer out of Clemson, Kelly Bryant. He led his university to a College Football Playoff berth in the 2017 season. Bryant was beaten out by true freshman phenom Trevor Lawrence for the starting position in the first weeks of the season.
Unlike some of the other guys in this countdown, Bryant has already found his home for 2019 and it resides in the SEC East. He will be replacing Drew Lock at Missouri. Lock made a name for himself this season, entering the NFL Draft as a senior in 2019.
