Clemson football had a 2018 to remember and that is putting it mildly. What moments stood out the most in the Tigers’ run to a National Championship?

Clemson once again had a season that ran through the College Football Playoff. They fought tooth and nail to get to where they are as reigning National Champions. Trevor Lawrence and his Tigers have been absolutely amazing this season. Here are the five moments that stand out from the rest:

5. Surviving Texas A&M, 28-26

Clemson’s biggest challenge this season was Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M, at least that’s what the scoreboard shows. The Tigers edged the Aggies by two-points in College Station, preserving their perfect season.

This game came down to a questionable call, a few big-time defensive stops and a failed two-point conversion. This was also one of the last games that we really had Clemson going back and forth between Kelly Bryant and Trevor Lawrence. The Aggies saw Bryant more than they did Lawrence and maybe that is why the score was closer than what the Tigers did against Alabama.
