2. Bounce back, survival win against Arkansas

After being shut out by Alabama, LSU’s confidence was dwindling a little bit. They went into that week sure that they were going to be able to at least challenge the Tide. However, that is very obviously not what happened as the Tigers lost 29-0. Now, they were set to battle the struggling Arkansas Razorbacks for the Golden Boot. This one should be easy, right? Wrong.

It came down to the end, despite a strong defensive effort from the Tigers that basically shut down the Arkansas offense. It was the Tigers in the end that put together a long drive at the end of the game that didn’t end in a touchdown, but purposely fell short of the goal line multiple times to secure a win while running out the clock.

This one was a much-needed bounce back after being shut down at home by Alabama the week before.
