3. Shootout at West Virginia

In the last game of the regular season for the Sooners, Kyler Murray threw for two touchdowns and ran for one more and his defense scored twice against West Virginia to win a spot in the Big 12 Championship.

In the second shootout of the season for the Sooners, the defense actually showed up in a big way that was a big part of the win. Overall though, the game was mostly defenseless. There were almost 1,500 total yards and over 100 points in this one to keep the Sooners Playoff hopes alive at least for one more week.

Everything would come down to the Big 12 Championship game against Texas in the coming week that would likely decide if the Sooners would get that No. 4 spot in the playoff. Kyler Murray won the matchup between two Heisman hopefuls and solidified himself as one of the better quarterbacks in Oklahoma history.
