Jim Harbaugh loves having a defense full of playmakers and has stacked his defenses with just that ever since he got to Michigan. Players such as Jabrill Peppers, Mike McCray, Jourdan Lewis, Maurice Hurst and most recently Rashan Gary and Devin Bush. These are all guys who continuously made huge plays on defense time and time again for Michigan and made the Wolverines consistently one of the top defenses in America. The next great playmaker looks to be Daxton Hill.

Hill is the ninth overall prospect in the 2019 class, according to 247 Sports. He played his high school ball at Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma and chose Michigan after a tight recruiting battle between the Wolverines and Alabama. Watching tape on Hill, he shows ability to play corner and is solid in his technique at the line of scrimmage, but it is clear he is at his best when making plays in the open field.

Multiple times we see Hill come from seemingly nowhere to make the tackle or pass break-up, which shows his motor is always going 110 percent. His playmaking ability is also displayed as a receiver, being able to track the ball and elude defenders so quickly, that it looks easy. Hill looks like he could be in-line to make contributions early next season thanks to his knack of making big plays.
