28. . DE. Boston College. Zach Allen. 27. player

Over the past two years, Boston College’s Zach Allen recorded 161 tackles with 30.5 coming behind the line of scrimmage and 10.5 sacks. Allen was one of the more productive defensive players in the ACC not from Clemson, and his skills will allow him to not miss a beat in the NFL.

As a junior, the 6-foot-5, 285-pound Allen made 100 total tackles, with 15.5 coming for loss and four sacks. He also intercepted a pass and knocked down three more. This past year, Allen had 61 tackles, 15 for loss, 6.5 sacks, an interception, seven passes defended and two fumbles recovered.

The Raiders lost Khalil Mack to the Bears in a trade, so shoring up the defense is a key for Jon Gruden and staff. In landing Allen this late, with his productive and size, should help make up for that loss.
