Scott Frost showed time and time again last season that he wants to keep the pace of the game high and run the football. The Cornhuskers lose two of their top three backs from a season ago and already have some guys committed or signed that can help fill the void in Dedrick Mills, Wandale Robinson, Ronald Tompkins and Rahmir Johnson who could help fill the void.

A running back room that went from empty to packed could sway Scott Frost from bringing in another running back this class.

With that being said, John Bivens is an explosive back that likes to run outside the tackles. He comes from a system that utilizes multiple running backs and could make a great fit into what Nebraska wants to do offensively. He missed out on his senior season due to injury but ran for over 1,300 yards his junior season with a 9.9 yard average per carry.

Nebraska is obviously one of his top choices but he’s also shown interest in Cincinnati and Louisville. If Frost tells Bivens not to commit, the 6-1, 205-pounder is likely heading to his home state to play for Luke Fickell and the Bearcats for his collegiate career. But not all hope is lost for Bivens who seems to have his heart set on joining the Huskers for his next four seasons.
