With 2019 National Signing Day approaching, Jeremy Pruitt and Tennessee football still have a few top targets left on the board.

Jeremy Pruitt has Tennessee football trending in the right direction. Although the Volunteers were just 5-7 in 2018, he arguably got more out of his team than Butch Jones ever could. The former Alabama defensive coordinator will have the Volunteers back in the national spotlight soon enough.

How do I know this? He just has a different feel about him than Jones did. He’s a no-nonsense type of coach and the players are buying into his system. Moreover, he’s recruiting at a relatively high level as Tennessee has the 15th-best class in the nation heading into signing day.

Tennessee isn’t done just yet, though. The Volunteers still have a handful of targets still left on their board for 2019.

Who are Tennessee’s top remaining 2019 National Signing Day targets?

Is Tennessee fighting a losing battle here? Three-star safety Jammie Robinson looks to be a heavy South Carolina lean, but the Leesburg, Ga., native took an official visit to Knoxville just a couple of weeks ago, showing that Jeremy Pruitt and Co. are still in the mix.

Besides South Carolina and Tennessee, Kentucky and Auburn are also vying for his services and he’ll make his decision on signing day.

Like I said, South Carolina is the overwhelming favorite, but Tennessee could use a 5-11, 200-pound physical defensive back like Robinson who could come in and compete right away for time. He has the ability to play both corner and safety which would give Pruitt something to work with.

Robinson is listed as the No. 392 overall player and 32nd-best safety in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports.
