Tennessee has a good chance to land one of the top unsigned players in the 2019 class as five-star offensive tackle Darnell Wright seems to be almost a lock to pick the Volunteers — that’s music to Jeremy Pruitt’s ears.

Heck, that’s music to every one the team’s ears, especially Jarrett Guarantano who won’t say no to extra protection on the offensive line, especially a guy who is ranked in the top 10 nationally. In fact, Wright is listed as the No. 10 prospect and second-best offensive tackle in the 2019 class, according to the 247Sports Composite.

You can bet West Virginia would have killed to keep this guy close to home, but the Volunteers have been absolutely killing it in terms of his recruitment. If you go by the 247Sports‘ Crystal Ball, there’s a 95 percent chance he ends up in Knoxville on Wednesday.

Wright would be the highest-ranked signee for the Volunteers in their 2019 class and he would be one of Pruitt’s biggest gets ever. This could be a serious momentum swing in the right direction for Tennessee recruiting heading into 2020.
