UCLA Football: Top 4 targets for 2019 National Signing Day
When it rains, it pours for the USC Trojans as more and more of their players look to bounce after offensive coordinator of 45 days, Kliff Kingsbury, left the program for a head coaching position in the Arizona Cardinals. Bru McCoy has already left the team and it’s expected that both Kyle Ford and Puka Nacua are going to de-commit from USC and sign elsewhere on signing day.
Ford looks to go elsewhere, but Nacua has shown some interest in joining the Bruins and actually visited with Chip Kelly in the city of Los Angeles this past week. The Orem, Utah, product is a phenomenal player in space and has great speed. Nakua also has the ability to use every inch of his 6-foot-2 frame to go over defenders on 50/50 balls.
Similar to Tua Tagovailoa, Nacua was selected as the Polynesian High School Offensive Player of the Year for his incredible athletic abilities combined with his ethnic background.
A late visit to UCLA could sway Nacua’s attention and an addition like this could help fill the void created by the loss of tight end Caleb Wilson who declared for the draft at the conclusion of the 2018 season. Nacua remains committed to USC and holds offers from both in-state schools Utah and BYU while also holding an offer to Oregon. He visits Oregon this weekend and his high school quarterback Jacob Conover signed with BYU in the early signing period.
Could he decide to change his mind and take the offer from a different California school?
