Early departures from the Georgia Football program left significant holes for Kirby Smart to fill. The Dawgs will have plenty of talent to replace that lost production in 2019.
Apparently, Georgia’s poor finish in the regular season and the off-field drama surrounding the high-profile transfer of Justin Fields didn’t hurt Georgia’s recruiting efforts. For the third consecutive year, Kirby Smart secured a top-three recruiting class. Though they finished second in the 2019 rankings behind Alabama, Georgia finished with five five-star players – no other team had more than three such players.
Since Kirby Smart became the coach of the Dawgs in 2016, Georgia has signed 18 five-star prospects. During that same time, Alabama has signed 14 five-star prospects.
The lesson here is simple: Kirby Smart is a heck of a recruiter.

Here are five players who could have an instant impact for the Dawgs in 2019.
