Piecing together one of the nation’s top-five recruiting class, LSU football has plenty of talent coming in. Which incoming freshmen can play right away?

No one talks about Ed Orgeron being an elite recruiter, but there’s no denying he connects with his players on a unique level and that has led to LSU landing the No. 5 class in the nation, according to 247Sports.

The Tigers are coming off a 10-win season and Orgeron is having the most head coaching success of his career in Baton Rouge. He’s showing what can happen when a program gives him the keys full-time. He is 19-7 over the past two seasons and it looks like the Tigers are trending upward.

LSU signed one of the best classes in the nation and No. 4 in the SEC — yes, the conference’s incoming freshman class is loaded — but which 2019 signees can have an instant impact for LSU in 2019?

This one may not be expected, but Cole Tracy is gone. The senior kicker’s career in Baton Rouge is over, leaving a void at the kicker position for a guy like Connor Culp or even incoming freshman All-American Cade York.

Just how good can the Under Armour All-American be? He flashed his absolute boot at the All-American Game, kicking a game-record 59-yard field goal with relative ease. He’s listed as the fourth-best kicker in the 2019 class, hailing from Prosper, Texas.

If the 59-yarder in the Under Armour All-American Game is any indication of what’s to come, the Tigers won’t see any drop-off on special teams.

It’s tough to replace a 29-for-33 succession rate on field goals like Tracy had in 2018, but York has all the talent to be an All-SEC kicker almost immediately.
