This signee from Early Signing Day is, according to 247 Sports, the highest ranked wideout of the five that the Rebels will be bringing into the program. For a program like Ole Miss who turns out NFL ready wideouts like candy, that is a pretty big deal. He sits at No. 25 at his position nation wide and as the No. 10 ranked player in the state of Mississippi.

Perhaps the biggest win so far for this kid came back in July, when Ole Miss was able to flip him from Mississippi State. If you know anything about these two programs, that is a big thing. These two teams hate each other and to get a flip like that says a lot about what Matt Luke is putting together down in Oxford. Just like Mingo, Jackson is high on the Ole Miss offense.

“That’s a big thing for me,” he told 247 Sports. “Every receiver wants to play in an offense where they get the ball in their hands and not just block. Ole Miss spreads the ball around the field and gets everyone involved. They would have had three guys have over a 1,000 yards receiving this season if D.K. (Metcalf) had not went down. It’s an offense every receiver wants to play in.”

In summary, Ole Miss put together a pretty great offensive class with a couple key defensive players. They have a grouping of wideouts- particularly these past two- who could put together something great to replace Metcalf and Brown, but it won’t be easy. Each has some growing to do and I am confident in the Rebels that they have put the right coaching staff in place to do just that.
