2. Someone has to step up and lead this team.

Within each unit of this team, someone has to step up and be a leader. This team needs a core group of captains that are going to help the team win games by keeping things organized and be ready to go. Let’s go through just a couple guys who could be that leader for the Razorbacks.

Right now, many are looking at Hicks to be the leader the offense needs to put something together. He is the graduate transfer that has been doing this kind of thing with Chad Morris for three seasons before now. I am not on that train though. I am on the Rakeem Boyd train. The running back who started his journey at Texas A&M and after being on Last Chance U ended up at Arkansas. He has to step up on the offense as he has the most experience with this team.

On defense, we are looking at linebacker De’Jon Harris who has made his decision to return to Arkansas for his senior season. A player like that has to step up and be a leader for the defense. In the SEC, defense is really what wins games and as a result Harris needs to get that unit together and ready to go to war week after week.

Simply put, this team needs quite a bit of help and a good leader will give them exactly that. It won’t come from new players or new coaches though, it needs to come from the guys who are already there, guys who know this program and its players and can lead them.
